And Then There Was Rylee...

Rylee is such a pistol! Each of the kids have their own energy and way of doing things which is what I love experiencing on our "date nights."

We left her house and the first place she wanted to go was to get her zebra at Kohls. The girls saw the $5 stuffed zebras and llamas last Friday and I could tell Rylee wanted one. She named her Rainbow Sprinkles and was quick to inform me that HE was a girl. Somehow I ended up with a cute little summer dress for her too, that's what happens when you have to walk past the kids' department to get to the bathrooms.

Yes, she has a blue mouth from her cotton candy ice cream. ;)

After that we headed to feed the ducks. Out of all the kids, I think she enjoys this the most and she's not afraid which is saying something because our local ducks and geese are a little "friendly," which can borderline on aggression once they realize you have bread in your hands. We drove up, opened the car door and she said in a sing-song voice, "Hey little birdies, we got the bread!"

While we were feeding them, they were pretty much cornering us at the door of my car so I kicked my foot out lightly to shoo them away. I guess Rylee thought I was trying to kick them and missed because she bolted out of the van and kicked a big ol' goose that was almost tall enough to look her directly in the eye! I gasped and said, "Rylee! Don't kick the goose!" She turned around and looked totally shocked that I wasn't thrilled that she let the goose have it. I had a hard time not laughing though because the goose barely budged, he mostly gave her a look that said, "Hey, what's your problem?" (Don't worry, we discussed why we don't kick geese or any other animal and the goose was fine, he seemed like he could care less as long as the bread was flowing.)

After that we got her some cute flip-flops (because a girl can never have too many shoes) and then picked up a couple of scoops of ice cream on the way home. She played a few games on barbie.com and it was time for bed, popcorn and a movie.

Of course, for the sake of reading this in 10 years, I have to post some of her random conversations:

"I want to buy a pony." (Where would you put a pony if you bought it?) "On my bottom." (Huh?) "I would sit on it and ride it." (Well, I guess that would mean it would be on your bottom. Of course I was trying to ask where she would store her pony at her house but hey, it's all in how you look at it.)

(Driving to Kohls, we see a car with a little boy in it stopped at a light next to us.) "Hey, that kid is going to get pizza!" (What kind?) "Macaroni and cheese pizza." (How do you make that kind of pizza?) "You just stir it up and eat it. But I don't know how. Oh nuts!"

(Walking through the girls dresses at Kohls I showed her a dress I liked, but she didn't.) "No, let's get that one for Jack Jack." (Jack is her friend and I don't think he'd like wearing that dress. And I don't think his daddy would like it even more. lol)

"I'm 36." (That's it, for some reason that statement came out and stood alone.)

That's about it. Like with the other two, these were laid back dates that weren't terribly exciting (except to me maybe), but for the sake of looking back I wanted to post about them.

It may not seem exciting but I bet just having you to herself was pretty great! She sure is a cutie!

These dates are getting expensive with all this shopping.. But then again she does look really cute. That is how I buy clothes for my girls, the cute factor...
